Dr. Susanna Park’s philosophy on well-being is to discover the areas where energy is not flowing within the body; whether it be of a physical, mental or spiritual blockage in order to transform, move or nourish and create a shift in dynamics. Thereby, healing the terrain of the body. Susanna has a deep & profound interest in guiding others so they may live their present life in their fullest, best self.
With a Doctorate in Acupuncture, Dr. Park focus lead her to specialties in Neurology, Endocrinology and Orthopedics. Dr. Park has extended training in Electro-Acupuncture Medicine focusing on electric frequency medicine to alter the physical terrain of the body and nervous system in a positive way. Dr. Park also has extended training in Neuro-Acupuncture; Zhu Scalp Acupuncture for Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury and Neurological Disease. Dr. Park’s depth of studies lead her to further edification on Gu Syndrome for Lyme and Auto-Immune Conditions and Women’s Health.
Dr. Park is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of New York and New Jersey. She is a Diplomat and Nationally Board Certified and a graduate of Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM), NYC with a Master’s of Science degree in Acupuncture. The 6 year program condensed into a 4-year graduate program consisted of over 3,500 hours in the subjects of: Acupuncture, Dry Needling; Asian Medicine Theory & Philosophy; Herbology and Bio-Medicine.
Dr. Park had the wonderful opportunity to meet and treat a wide variety of people and communities with hands on internships at:
- Columbia University – Supporting the Columbia University student population with an array of conditions.
- Housing Works – Non-profit organization supporting those with HIV/AIDS & homelessness.
- St. John’s Riverside Hospital – Substance abuse & addiction recovery center.
- The Grand Meridian Clinic – Acupuncture Clinic within the Herbal Pharmacy in the heart of Chinatown, NYC.
- PCOM’s onsite clinic in NYC.
- From 2015 through 2017 Dr. Park volunteered weekly by teaching and mentoring teenagers for a non-profit organization, KCCNJ. She had headed, crowdfunded, taught and treated over 100 people within 6 days in July, 2017 leading a volunteer medical trip in Paraguay. There Susanna, with the support of her team, treated individuals with various health issues such as Snake Bite, Necrotic Skin, Scoliosis, Depression, Anxiety, Post Heart Failure Rehabilitation, Post Stroke Rehabilitation, Chronic Fatigue, IBS, Musculoskeletal Pain, Postpartum Depression, Traumatic Brain Injury, Bell’s Palsy and many other conditions.
- 2018 – Dr. Park had the privilege to be requested to be the Master’s of Ceremonies for the 2018 Korea-US Integrative Medicine Conference held in Englewood Hospital & Medical Center.
Dr. Park is also trained and practices the following specialties: Electro-Acupuncture Medicine, Zhu Scalp Acupuncture; Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture & Rejuvenation; Micro-needling; Five Element Acupuncture (The psychotherapy of Eastern Medicine); Auricular (Ear) Acupuncture; Scalp Acupuncture; Turtle Abdominal Acupuncture; Eastern Nutrition. She has also assisted teaching Facial Acupuncture and Needle Technique at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Susanna also has had the pleasure of being part of dynamic integrative team made up of Eastern and Western medical practitioners with the focus of pain management.
Dr. Park’s passion in movement includes freestyle dance for the past 20+ years along with education and training in Qi Gong, Body Dynamics, Pilates Teacher Training, Yoga and Breathwork Certification. Her movement lifestyle and education adds to her toolbox in helping others with alignment and connection with one’s self to access being present in their body.
Dr. Park prefers to work with others by teaching and spreading knowledge in order for individuals to be empowered to practice and take responsibility in their own well-being.
Dr. Park feels she has been blessed with a gift of empathy and resilience through the wisdom of challenging life experiences. Her mission in life is to empower and help a million people that feel internally stuck and suffering while on this beautiful Earth.
